Post-storm piles around a small lot
After a hard rain pushed through Hollywood, the driveway behind a Park Side home turned into a messy landing zone for branches, roof grit, and broken trim. I remember the air staying wet and heavy while palm fronds kept scraping the fence. In these older 1950s and 1960s homes, the clear-out matters fast because blocked access makes every next step harder, and wet debris only gets heavier as it sits.
We rolled in with the right size dumpster, set it where the truck could reach cleanly, and had the crew load storm waste by hand so the customer didn’t have to fight the piles. We watched for mixed material, kept the load organized, and hauled it out before it could spread farther across the property. That left the driveway open again and gave the homeowner room to repair the damage without staring at a mess all week.
I was relieved to get the storm debris gone fast, and I could finally use my driveway again.
